The novel, in English and Italian, takes its title from the hotel suite dedicated by Author's brother, Nello Lauro, director of the Grand Hôtel Splendide Royal in Lugano, to his friend Francesco Cossiga. It describes the extraordinary life of Nello, who died prematurely in 2008, with his passion for painting and his international friends: from George Bush to Francesco Cossiga; from Luciano Pavarotti to the great art collector Baron Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza. The protagonist reveals his love for his family, love for art, love for poetry and love for democracy inherited from his mother. An epic of feelings focused on fraternal love, which overwhelms the reader. The beauty of life and death.

Cover design: the cover by Teresa Biagioli reproduces the oil on canvas, titled "The Hope" by Nello Lauro, painted in 2008, before his death, and remained unfinished.
